■ Balance
This update improves the overall formula for damage dealt to monsters.
These improvements focus on reducing reliance on specific hero and equipment combinations and making a wider variety of combinations viable.
[Critical Hit Improvements]
We've reworked the critical hit formula so that critical hits now occur exactly at your Critical Rate.
As part of this rework, monsters' critical resistance has been removed entirely, meaning critical hits will always occur once your Critical Rate reaches 100%.
Accordingly, critical values on equipment and skills, as well as values for other Sub-Options, have been adjusted across the board.
However, values were tuned so that the feel of critical hits and the efficiency of equipment Sub-Options remain nearly the same as before.
- Changed critical buff values included in skills
- Eileen — Critical Damage buff obtainable via Vanguard Banner with Exclusive Karma equipped: 50% → 20%
- Sion — Critical Rate buff obtainable via Justice Fall: 20% → 10%
[Defense Ignore Improvements]
As the way Defense Ignore applies to damage has changed, displayed damage numbers will decrease. However, monster HP has also been adjusted accordingly, so actual time-to-kill remains largely unchanged.
- Monster Max HP reduced in proportion to their Defense
- Max HP reduced by up to 44%, based on giant boss monsters
[New Equipment Option]
A new equipment Sub-Option, "Status Effect Additional Attack Power Increase", has been added.
This option increases all status effect additional attack power — such as Stun Additional Attack Power and Bleed Additional Attack Power — by the option value (%).
The increased additional attack power is added to your attack power when attacking enemies afflicted with the corresponding status effect.
[Skill Balance Changes]
Skill damage and Rage cost/gain have been adjusted to fit the new formula, and damage has been increased for heroes who were underperforming.
To strengthen the role of the Break attribute — specialists in breaking Super Armor — we've increased Castella's Rage efficiency and adjusted the Super Armor break values of some heroes who were stronger than expected.
The damage bonus when multiple characters mount a boss at the same time has also been increased by 20%.
Detailed skill changes for each hero are as follows.
